How are you doing? It's round 4 months since we finished the VIII Edition of the Israeli-Polish Dialogue Forum. Now, it's high time we encouraged some others to participate. Therefore, I'd like to ask you to share with us some of your reflections and experiances. And first and foremost: why is it well worth taking part in this project?

Food!!

Hey guys,

We heard that some of you eat only kosher food, but when we asked what is it all about we heard a few general rules (no cheeseburgers or pork) and then that there are different versions, so you actually never no...

So I tried Wikipedia - not much of a help, but you can find funny stuff there like: "Giraffes are technically kosher." or "Likewise, though swans are kosher in theory if kosher-slaughtered, there is no Jewish tradition of eating swans."- thank God!! Sorry, but we're not able to provide you with a giraffe steak either;) So if you eat kosher food, please write about yourself, so we can have a general idea and be better prepared:)

Anyway, I hope that you won't feel offended by the Wikipedia quotations. Getting kosher food is almost impossible in Poland, so I don't know much about it and while reading about it on the Net I was really wondering what is really important and what is not...

By the way, I wonder what funny things you can learn on Poland from Wikipedia?? Have you found something weird about country or our traditions? If yes, feel free to ask!!

Hi there all!!
I'm Amir, and in a fashion late I also want to thank Wiktor for inviting us to this blog. I'm 28, and I live in Petach-Tikva, a town 15km eastern to Tel-Aviv. I'm studying electronics engineering in my 4th year (supose to be the last one... :) ) and I really can't wait to meet you all in Warsaw. I really like dance-bars and pubs and enjoying life every day. Since I have also a big test a day before the flight, let us all wish a very good luck to Maayan in her test (and to me too). Finally I managed to send a post :)! It makes me feel happy because that's the first thing I managed to do today after getting out of my bed. It's cloudy and almost raining so I don't feel like doing anything (don't worry, it will stop before you come. Hopefully).
So now something about me. I'm studying culture studies. Also working for some NGOs. And I'm involved in Polish-Jewish dialogue (which means that I'm an animator of Polish-Jewish youth meetings).
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. I think I know quite much about Polish Jews' culture, but contemporary Israel is a kind of undiscovered land for me. Hope meeting you will change it.

That's my first post here.
I'm Karol and in fact I'm not a girl:) Shira wasn't so sure about that so I write it at the beginning:)

Something about me... I listen to old good hard rock and metal. Sometimes a little bit jazz, but only more energetic one:) During my free time I try to use every possibility, when it is more than 5 degrees, to fire up my Harley, burn some fuel and annoy neighbours;)

So can we say this is our official logo???

Hi guys,
I'm Kaja - you can see my picture on Facebook - I have cake on my face;) But it not usual think for me to wear one - it was just a "lovely" surprise for my birthday. Well, actually it's an Indian tradition - me and my friends we're just back from exchange program in India and I did the same thing to one of them back in India, so he had to take revenge on me...
Anyways, being in India I fell in love with their music. I hope you're all going to bring a lot of Israeli music on your iPods, so that Polish group can learn more about it:)
